My favorite Teacher was Mr Steve Nyman because he always incorporated music in his chemistry class. There was always a guitar or a piccolo or a banjo in his classroom and if he wasn’t able to make a lesson that included music, he would always reserve 5-10 minutes at the end of class to jam out. Thanks Mr Nyman, wherever you are today!

I’m giving a shout out to my wife, who teaches kindergarten and loves her job! She could really use these free school supplies. She is constantly purchasing things that her students need in order to learn and enjoy what she is teaching them, yet she doesn’t think twice about taking care of her classroom kids! Winning this contest would definitely let her save her own personal money or let her enter a store to buy something for herself and not her classroom for a change!

My favorite teacher is Mrs.Pam Nydeen from St MARYS HOC . She taught five of my children and a grandchild. She has worked with us with Health and Learning Issues. She keeps that smile on her face and teaches all as if they were the only one in the classroom.

This is a shout out to Mr. Z, one of my junior high teachers. He made learning fun, engaging, and purposeful… and he really inspired me to incorporate those values into my own teaching.

  • My favorite teacher was Mrs. Arnold in the first grade! She is the main reason I wanted to become a teacher in the first place. She was so kind, funny, and inspiring! I can still remember some of her lessons.

Mrs Coates from Dolsen School in Bay City MI you were the kindness soul and the best Art teacher anyone would be lucky to have like myself. I was beyond myself that you even bought one of my art tie dye cat wall hangings you taught me how to make. Thank you and I will forever be greatful to you.

  • My favorite teacher was Ms. Hatch in 5th grade – though she is no longer alive I continue to feel the impact of her teaching throughout my life. She showered a lonely, neglected little girl with encouragement, challenges, food – when needed, and a listening ear. Her gift for finding the lost and bringing them back has lead me on my journey as a teacher, media specialist, and as I work towards my degree to become a principal. I hope to be like Ms. Hatch in all that I do!

  • My favorite teacher was my music teacher in elementary school who taught more than music. She taught the joy of sharing music & reading with family, friends, the community, and elderly. She promoted community service and free concerts. She involved anyone and everyone in the learning process and made them all feel important. Mrs. Beth Aune is an inspiration. I have 3 children and many nieces and nephews (4-18) whose classrooms could benefit from such a great combo pack of items.

Wow! I had several teachers so it’s hard to decide. I would say that the thing they all had in common was that they encouraged us to read, read, read. They also read aloud to our classes and introduced us to some of the best books. Thank you Miss Hussell, Mr. Martin, and Mrs. Dugood!

My favorite teacher was Mrs. Dondelinger who was my Math teacher in Junior High School, she is by far the best teacher that I have ever seen or known about. Always going the extra mile for her students, she made each student feel like an honor roll student, and just had a way of teaching you that made you want to learn everything. I can only hope that my children and grandchildren are blessed with a teacher like her.
