My favorite teacher was a sixth grade male teacher. His name is Mr.Ortega, such an energetic witty personality. Our day was non -stop with him filled with all the subjects. We would read Shakespeare and create science projects and our imagination was limitless. His expectations where high and we met them. His poetry selections were always uplifting. Thank you, Mr. Ortega to introduce and instill the love of learning.

Shout out to my favorite teachers…because I was one of those students who loved school. Lol!! In elementary, it was Mrs. E. Glover, my fifth grade teacher. In high school, it was Ms. S. Andrews. Both made learning fun, and I enjoyed being in their classrooms.

i have had several wonderful teachers. i am grateful for them all. however i would like to share about my son age 8 teacher this last year. He will be going into fourth grade. We pulled our son from a school where he had good teachers grades k-1. then in second grade things changed. the school he went to had a severe bullying problem. that they brushed under the rug. my son was never physically bullied but was verbally. the kids that were bullied were never taken care of by the school and bullies got away with it. many parents including us switched schools but stayed in the same district. the new school and teacher he had this last yr were wonderful. my son always was a b-c student. at the new school the first week he was selected for the GATE program nothing like that did the old school have. His grades all year were a’s and b’s. he received many awards this last year and worked diligently . His teacher was the most personable warm caring educator. he retired after 40 yrs this year and we were honored to have him. he always kept in contact with the parents and all the kids he has taught i know are better people for him being in their lives. Thank you Mr Mac. Please dont think i am boasting but i wanted to share our experience as i know there are many others that can relate. for your kids, if something isnt right, change it. they are our future. have a blessed week thank you
