  • My favorite teacher is myself. I trach my kids, as a homeschool teacher. But my job doesn’t stop there. I do after school tutoring to my neighborhood kids and my son’s football team. I see up to 15 or more kids per day. That’s a lot of projects, a lot of paper and a lot of math problems. But I love every moment of it. I shared on twitter.

My favorite teacher was fourth grade, Linda Bauer. Her children both went to the same college. We were all fans by the end of the year. She would award us tickets we could use at the end of year in an auction. Growing up overweight and with the last name Beaver. Some teachers even made fun of me, but Mrs Bauer always made me feel special and accepted. She even invited me over to her house to help with Parade of Homes. She included me when teachers and students excluded me. She gave me the confidence to not give up. For one year I was normal and fit in.

  • I had several favorite teachers, but probably my all-time favorite was my Spanish 2 teacher in high school. I didn’t learn too much in Spanish 1 and then my Spanish 2 teacher spoke only in Spanish. It was tough, but she was amazing. She made it so you could really understand what she was saying, and easily kept the students entertained. She even gave all of the students her personal phone number, so if we were ever in trouble, or needed a ride, etc. we could call her! I always looked forward to that class, and even wrote the teacher a short thank you letter at the end of the year. In Spanish of course!

Such an amazing opportunity! How generous of you guy’s! My wee one is starting preschool this year and is such a bitter sweet moment for us. She has not yet met any of her teachers but I can tell you about an amazing reacher I had in the 3rd grade, Mrs. Sheffield. She was an older lady, probably in her late 60’s and she was so kind and gentle. Patient and caring. She inspired to so much to set out and do whatever my little heart wanted to ! Thank you for this fabulous chance! Good luck everyone!

  • I had many fantastic teachers who taught me a lot, but if I had to say the best educator that I had it would have it be my second grade teacher, Mrs. Geiger.
When I was in second grade Mrs. Geiger wanted us to learn how to write poetry. I had literally no ounce of poetry inside me, but she opened up a book of poetry for everybody and I listened. Then when we got to our desk I basically had a rainbow shooting out my head, because I knew. I had loads of imagination and still have it.
Well that is the main reason Mrs. Geiger was my favorite teacher. Well anyway I shared the contest page on facebook.
    Toodles
